Hawaii’s ancestors held a deep and profound respect for dolphins, or nai’a. It’s a tradition the captains and crew at Ko Olina Ocean Adventures continue to honor and preserve, allowing our visitors to passively view the dolphins, but with a policy of no touching, and no loud or disruptive behavior. Our swim with dolphins procedure is to have our snorkelers assume a passive float position. The longer you hold perfectly still, the longer your dolphin encounter will last. Captain Todd and Captain Mick were some of the first to pioneer safe and non-intrusive dolphin encounters and whale watching with these wonderful ocean creatures.
